Cushions or Bushings are one of the cheapest and easiest ways to upgrade your skates. Most entry level plates come with hard plastic cushions that don't react or absorb impact. Switching to better cushions will make you more reactive and manueverable.
Standard shape cushions provide more stability, conical shape cushions give you a larger range of motion.
